Key Responsibilities
- Enhance clinical practices on the unit by integrating evidence-based approaches into daily operations.
- Serve as a clinical expert and resource for nursing staff, mentoring and coaching to foster professional growth.
- Lead the development and implementation of unit-level evidence-based protocols and procedures.
- Support the development of nursing staff to effectively fulfill unit-based roles.
- Facilitate collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and advocate for patient and family needs.
- Ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care in alignment with unit operations.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Maryland or eligibility to practice under Compact state agreements.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or relevant specialty certification.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Compliance with all unit-specific certification requirements (ACLS, PAL, NRP).
- Relevant clinical experience pertinent to the unit's practice.
