We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Omega Morgan. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of goods.
Key Responsibilities- Shipping and Receiving: Greet and direct delivery drivers to the dock area, receive and inspect goods for damage, record and tag for inventory tracking purposes, and inspect, load, and secure outgoing freight.
- Inventory Controls: Assist in maintaining an organized warehouse, assist in maintaining proper inventory controls of consumables, and conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Building, Office, Warehouse, and Grounds Maintenance: Perform light housekeeping and spill clean-up as needed, resolve routine office maintenance and warehouse equipment issues, and ensure parking lot cleanliness.
- Additional Responsibilities: Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), request same from employees, delivery drivers, and customers, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Qualifications: Basic mechanical skills, valid driver's license, forklift operator certification preferred, 1-2 years previous warehouse experience, good verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, and mathematical skills, and basic computer skills.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, work with explosives, and risk of radiation.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
