Job Title: Sputter Equipment Maintenance Technician

Western Digital is seeking a skilled Sputter Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting sputter equipment in a class 100 cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on sputter equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair unscheduled failures to root cause, using electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings as needed.
  • Document maintenance activities and results in a logbook and resource tracking system.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers and maintenance personnel to improve maintenance procedures and reduce wafer scrap.
  • Provide technical training and certification to maintenance personnel.
Requirements:
  • Technical degree in Electronics or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in vacuum technologies and sputter equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude, with ability to read electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Understanding of failure mechanisms and ability to isolate and repair.
  • Proficient in MS Windows software and resource tracking systems.
  • Effective team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
