- Load Management: Verify the stability of the site prior to dumping the load and ensure that materials are loaded correctly to prevent accidents or damage.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work truck with regular maintenance, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance at all times, adhering to regulations and company policies.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with coworkers, leaders, customers, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Reporting: Report all accidents and injuries, regardless of severity, to the appropriate authorities and company management.
- CDL License: Possess a valid CDL license with the ability to drive an automatic or manual shift truck.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and process documents such as operating and maintenance manuals, scheduling charts, policy and procedure manuals, repair records, maps, and equipment performance handbooks.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with coworkers, leaders, customers, and third-party vendors.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out work in written, verbal, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of EPA, state EPA, DOT, OSHA, MSHA, and other related state and federal regulations.
- Technical Skills: Ability to use email, smart phone, tablet, or computer to manage company information and documents.
