About the Role:
African Community Housing and Development is seeking a highly skilled Donor Relations Coordinator to join our Fund Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for nurturing and managing relationships with our current individual donors and developing new prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Donor Engagement: Partner with the Director of Fund Development to create and implement strategies to engage and retain individual donors, ensuring a positive donor experience.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing donors through personalized communication and stewardship activities.
- Prospecting: Identify and research potential new donors to expand the organization's donor base, and develop strategies to approach and engage them.
- Event Planning: Plan and execute donor-related events, such as appreciation gatherings, fundraising events, and networking opportunities.
- Communication: Partner with the Marketing & Communications team to prepare and distribute newsletters, impact reports, and other donor communications to keep supporters informed and engaged.
- Database Management: Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring accurate records of donor interactions, contributions, and preferences.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns, including setting goals, tracking progress, and reporting results.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on donor activities, engagement metrics, and fundraising progress to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the Fund Development team to align donor relations efforts with overall fundraising goals and organizational strategies.
- Feedback Collection: Solicit and analyze donor feedback to continually improve donor relations and enhance the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for donor relations activities, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and organizing documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure all donor activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Market Research: Stay informed about trends in philanthropy and donor behavior to identify opportunities for engagement and growth.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years nonprofit fundraising experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work respectfully with diverse, multilingual communities
- Demonstrated experience soliciting and closing individual donation asks
- Experience using donor CRM system
- Strong project management skills
- Knowledge of the King County fundraising landscape
