The culinary team at Cedar Fair is responsible for crafting all menu offerings to meet established quality standards while adhering to safe food handling protocols to ensure guest safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt to the most effective role as designated by management.
  • Prioritize guest service and satisfaction in every task.
  • Prepare menu items according to specified quality benchmarks.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Serve guests promptly and with a sense of urgency.
  • Manage portion control for meals served.
  • Oversee food inventory effectively.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum age of 16 years (18 years required for operating heavy kitchen equipment).
  • Exhibit a high level of integrity.
  • Previous experience in food preparation is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Applicants should be prepared to:

  • Engage in various physical activities including climbing, kneeling, standing, and lifting.
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds frequently.
  • Maintain close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis and visual inspections.
  • Work in extreme heat conditions, with temperatures exceeding 100 degrees.
  • Adapt to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
  • Handle noise levels that may require shouting to communicate.
  • Be aware of atmospheric conditions that may affect respiratory health.
  • Manage multiple high-stress situations while maintaining alertness.
