Job DescriptionAs a Surgical Nurse at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, you will be responsible for providing safe and competent nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Your duties will include developing and implementing individualized plans of care, assessing patient needs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement age-appropriate plans of care utilizing the nursing process and clinical skills
- Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, visitors, and employees by identifying and mitigating risks
- Assess patient needs and develop strategies to promote healing and recovery
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
To be successful in this role, you must have a graduate degree from an accredited RN program and a current state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas. You must also possess current BLS certification from the American Heart Association and ACLS certification within three months of hire.
