About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Specialist to join our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Public Sector team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from public sector customers, with a focus on Amazon's Container services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans to position AWS as the cloud provider of choice for public sector customers.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
  • Own the Public Sector GTM strategy and execution for Containers globally, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.

Our team is dedicated to helping public sector organizations scale quickly and cost-effectively on AWS. We pride ourselves on thinking big, and delivering exceptional results for our customers. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of experienced professionals who are passionate about cloud computing and public sector innovation.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of technology domain experience in cloud native applications and/or container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, Mesos, and others.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with open-source software and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong data-based storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers.
  • Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
