As a Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens, you will be responsible for leading a team of pharmacists and technicians to provide exceptional patient care and services. You will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Your expertise in pharmacy operations, patient care, and team management will drive business growth and improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Experience
- Engage patients by providing empathetic and personalized care, addressing their medication needs and concerns.
- Model and share customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive and joyful patient experience.
- Connect with patients by anticipating their needs and proactively offering services, such as medication management and health education.
- Operations
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and interactions, and refer to medical providers as needed.
- Perform pharmacist tasks, including compounding, drug therapy reviews, and medication management.
- Review and interpret prescriptions, ensuring accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.
- Manage pharmacy operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- People & Performance Management
- Collaborate with Store Manager to establish expectations and goals, promote teamwork, and foster a shared vision.
- Monitor and recognize improvements in pharmacy staff performance, implementing rewards programs and conducting formal performance reviews.
- Identify high-potential team members and proactively collaborate with Store Manager to manage career progression.
- BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
- Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
- At least 1 year pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
