Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Bluebird Staffing is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team for a travel nursing assignment in a top-rated hospital.
Job Description- Job Type: Travel Nursing
- Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
- Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Shift: 12 hours, nights
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Provide high-quality patient care in the CVICU setting
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patients' cardiovascular conditions, including cardiovascular disease, pre/post cath lab and IR procedures, and fresh open heart surgery
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform various medical procedures, including CABG, OHS, AAA, valvular repairs, IABP, Impella, VAD's, pacemakers, epicardial pacer management, CRRT/Dialysis, hemodynamic monitoring, breathing treatments, chest tube set-up/care, CPAP/BiPap, trach care, vents, high frequency vents, procedure sedation, RSI - rapid sequence intubation drugs, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, cooling/warming, and obtain 12 lead EKG
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives
- Document patient care and treatment plans in the electronic medical record
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in the CVICU setting
- Licensure: Compact license accepted; WA license status: Active, in Process, or no license
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, and CRRT Prismaflex required
- Skills: IABP, fresh open heart required; CVVH/Prismaflex - CRRT preferred; ECMO not required for Travelers IMPELLA - without
