We offer a range of board-certified specialty services, including internal medicine, cardiology, neurology, surgery, oncology, and ophthalmology, along with advanced diagnostic capabilities such as ultrasonography, echocardiography, and high-field MRI.
Role Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician with veterinary experience to enhance our team. This role involves the decontamination, preparation, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment, ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain proper sterile techniques during all procedures.
- Efficiently distribute necessary equipment and instruments for surgeries.
- Collect and sort used and contaminated instruments for decontamination.
- Handle and care for instruments, ensuring proper cleaning and assembly.
- Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
- Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure a consistent workflow between operating rooms.
- Restock surgical inventory as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in Central Supply, Sterile Processing, or veterinary settings.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
- Emotional intelligence and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in computer usage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time hours from 9 AM to 7 PM.
- Rotating schedule between Mon-Thurs and Tues-Fri every other week, allowing for a 4-day weekend.
- Options for full-time or part-time availability.
