CAD Drafter

Spherion is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our team. As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and models for various components and systems.

• Design new products and update existing designs using AutoCAD and solid modeling software.
• Generate detailed part drawings and Bills of Material that adhere to engineering standards.
• Collaborate with vendors to source components and ensure designs meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and completeness.
• Implement design changes as needed and provide technical support to sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Stay informed about industry trends through workshops, professional publications, and networking.
• Work with engineers and other drafters to ensure cohesive and accurate project outcomes.

• Proficiency with Inventor or similar design software.
• Experience in generating Bills of Material.
• Strong mathematical skills for detailed specifications.
• Experience in providing technical support across teams.

• Experience in mechanical design, drafting, and solid modeling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical information to designs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and common drafting standards.
