Overview

Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals provide exceptional patient care in a compassionate environment. Our hospitals specialize in caring for chronically and critically ill or post-ICU patients who require extended hospital care.

We employ over 50,000 people across the country and deliver quality care to approximately 70,000 patients daily across our four divisions.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medically complex patients and a passion for delivering an excellent patient care experience.

  • Evaluate patient needs and develop an effective treatment plan.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
  • Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement through data-driven decision making.
  • Teach and counsel patients and families on proper respiratory care techniques.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • An active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
  • A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Current state licensure is required.
  • Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000-$110,000 based on location and experience.
