Job Overview

At Sea Level Construction, we are seeking a skilled Structural Fitting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of pipes, tubes, and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Safety Protocols: Promote and adhere to our company's safety program, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Examine blueprints and plan the sequence of operation, applying knowledge of geometry, heat effects, weld shrinkage, machining, and metal thickness.
  • Pipe Installation: Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications, using welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints.
  • Quality Control: Maintain quality standards that meet NDT testing procedures, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
  • Efficient Work Practices: Perform fitting assignments in a safe and efficient manner, practicing safety at all times and adhering to company policies.
  • Tool Operation: Operate applicable hand tools, such as chipping hammers and grinders, as required.
  • High-Reach Operations: Operate high reaches or man lifts when performing fitting assignments above ground level.
  • Instruction Following: Follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
  • Workpiece Inspection: Examine work pieces for defects and measure them with straight edges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other construction duties or tasks as required by the company, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
