Job Description:

Nursing Unit Director (LPN)

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a skilled and compassionate leader to direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Unit. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower their team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, ensuring the highest standards of patient care are maintained at all times.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure efficient operation of the Nursing Unit.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of patient care and services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Nursing (LPN) and current licensure.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a long-term care setting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
