We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Administration team at Albany Medical Center. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor surgeries as needed
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, primary nurses, and other healthcare providers to provide family-centered care
  • Develop and apply specialty practice standards to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Serve as a resource and team leader during clinical shifts to ensure smooth patient processing and treatment
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Successful completion and maintenance of ACLS and BLS certifications
  • Ability to quickly master computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be HIPAA compliant at all times
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, and lifting frequently, as well as pushing, pulling, and grasping occasionally. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential.
