Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:
- Plan, assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients in the Emergency Room.
- Administer IV medications and initiate blood product transfusions in accordance with hospital protocols.
- Monitor and document patient responses to medications and treatments.
- Triaging patients by assessing their symptoms and documenting findings.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
- Receive and accurately transcribe physician orders.
- Provide education to patients and families as necessary.
- Communicate clinical outcomes effectively with patients and their families.
- Utilize Meditech efficiently in patient care.
- Coordinate patient admissions and discharge plans with case managers and families.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
- A degree from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree required).
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Indiana or an active Compact State RN license.
- BLS certification upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications to be obtained within the first six months of employment.
- TNCC certification to be obtained within one year of hire.
