Role Summary

The Personal Care Provider is responsible for delivering non-skilled personal care and household services within the client's residence. This role is crucial in providing companionship and ensuring a clean, safe, and organized living space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain a safe home environment for the client.
  • Assist with household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Support the client in activities outside the home, including shopping and appointments.
  • Provide companionship through social interaction, conversation, and encouragement of cognitive activities.
  • Assist the client with personal hygiene tasks, ensuring comfort and dignity.
  • Keep accurate records of service visits.
  • Participate in client care meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Completion of a twenty-hour training program or skills validation.
  • Preferred: Six months or more of personal care experience in a home care setting.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and squat throughout the day.
  • Capability to assist clients in and out of vehicles and lift mobility aids weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Physical strength to lift and transfer clients as needed.
  • Ability to perform daily living tasks involving movement and coordination.
  • Capacity to sit for extended periods and maintain good vision and hearing.
