This position is responsible for performing various inspection requirements within the NDT department, working under general guidance in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by applicable specifications.
- Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
Interpret specifications, charts, and manuals, using mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements, and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.
Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining, and other functions for compliance to procedures.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications, and internal drawings and procedures.
- Previous experience working in an NDT department or within an NDT function.
- Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
- Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
- Personal hand tools may be required.
- May be required to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
