Surgical Program Improvement Supervisor

The Surgical Program Improvement Supervisor plays a critical role in supporting the NSQIP team by providing expertise in organization and system-wide planning related to NSQIP abstraction requirements, initiatives, and reporting. This position oversees the quality reporting specialists, ensuring seamless execution of quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve NSQIP abstraction processes, enhancing data quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the NSQIP team to design and implement quality improvement initiatives, driving meaningful change and improvement in surgical care.
- Provide guidance and oversight to quality reporting specialists, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest NSQIP guidelines, regulations, and best practices, applying this knowledge to inform quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of quality metrics and benchmarks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- State of Maine RN license is required. Active NSQIP SCR certification is recommended.
- Five years of RN experience required. Two years of demonstrated experience conducting healthcare quality initiatives.
