Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at ASSA ABLOY. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving projects throughout the value stream to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering principles and practices, with the ability to develop and apply creative technical solutions to complex problems. You will work closely with manufacturing automation engineers, product engineers, production, and quality assurance staff to develop requirements and recommendations for large and somewhat complex processes and systems.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Writing procedures, investigating, establishing protocols, and reporting change controls to support client programs
- Planning, conducting, or coordinating relatively straightforward engineering analyses & tests
- Providing day-to-day production support where needed
- Creating, modifying, and managing bills of materials
- Providing technical leadership and ownership of assigned unit operations
- Managing change control for assigned projects
- Identifying and initiating process improvements in conjunction with the Product Engineering team
Desired qualifications include a BS in science/engineering, 5 years of experience, good interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills, and the ability to make and implement decisions. Working knowledge/first-hand experience working with CNC controlled equipment and machine code/programming is strongly preferred. PLC troubleshooting capability is another big plus. SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience would be an advantage.
