Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with expertise in pediatric orthopaedic surgery to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in orthopaedic hip pathology, conducting musculoskeletal research, and developing a hip preservation practice spanning children to adulthood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care in orthopaedic hip pathology, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Conduct musculoskeletal research with a strong commitment to academic productivity, publishing papers and presenting at conferences.
  • Develop and maintain a hip preservation practice, working with patients from childhood to adulthood, and collaborating with hip arthroscopists to develop a robust practice for teenagers and young adults.
  • Evaluate patients' condition, develop treatment plans, and perform surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements:

  • MD degree and board-eligible or board-certified status in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedic surgery with a special interest in hip preservation.
  • Evidence of academic productivity and clinical expertise, including publication record and conference presentations.
  • Licensure to practice medicine in the State of Virginia.
