Cosmetology Instructor Job Description

We are looking for a qualified and passionate Cosmetology Instructor to join our team at Aveda Institute Wilmington. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cosmetology, excellent teaching and mentoring skills, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a salon or spa setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to teach and mentor students in the art of cosmetology, develop and implement lesson plans, and assess student progress.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $42,000-$52,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and mentoring students in cosmetology
  • Developing and implementing lesson plans
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback
  • Maintaining a safe and clean learning environment
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A valid state-issued Cosmetology license and maintenance of such license
  • A valid state-issued Cosmetology Instructor license (obtaining this license is contingent upon hire) and maintenance of such license
  • Experience working in a salon or spa setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
