Job Overview

Position: Protestant Music Director

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly choir rehearsals and lead warm-up sessions prior to any Liturgical Celebrations, ensuring they last a minimum of one (1) hour.
  • Facilitate weekly musical performances during the Protestant service, with each performance lasting at least one (1) hour.
  • Collaborate with the Protestant Minister to coordinate all special music selections for each service.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading music and capable of teaching vocal music parts and harmonies.
  • Familiar with a diverse repertoire of Protestant music, encompassing traditional, contemporary, and liturgical styles.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a choir director role.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays.

Educational Background:

  • A degree in music is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in playing the piano, keyboard, or organ.
