We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital. As a vital member of our patient care team, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in need.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers as necessary.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 60 days of employment start date
