Job Summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our Interventional Imaging team at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients and physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain patient care and safety standards
  • Participate in creating a culture of patient safety and quality
  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency preparedness and response
  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Communicate with and educate patients regarding pertinent information during procedures
  • Achieve quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and technical factors
  • Proficient in patient preparation and sterile tray setup
  • Ensure patient data integrity and accuracy
  • Perform examinations and identify relevant data from images
  • Communicate pertinent data clearly to healthcare professionals
  • Accurately complete computer functions, including editing, scheduling, billing, and image transfers
  • Accurate image marking, digital image manipulation, and archiving
  • Participate as an active team member, orienting and mentoring new employees and students
  • Participate in departmental and facility process improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position
  • Clean and maintain rooms and supplies
  • Provide integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high-quality care
  • Contribute to a positive work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Vocational/Technical training or Associate Degree in Diagnostic Imaging or related field
  • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registration; or, Registry eligible with successful completion within 90 days
  • Preferred: Bachelor's in Radiologic Technologist, 3 years of Technologist experience in X-Ray, Interventional Radiology, or Cardiology Vascular Services, ARRT IR certification or successful completion within 18 months of hire
