Job Summary:

The State of Washington is seeking a highly skilled Tribal Affairs Liaison to serve as a key point of contact for tribal governments and communities. This role will play a critical part in building and maintaining relationships with tribal leaders and organizations, ensuring that the state's policies and programs align with tribal interests and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with tribal governments and communities
  • Provide guidance and support to state agencies on tribal affairs
  • Assist in the development of policies and programs that benefit tribal communities
  • Collaborate with tribal leaders and organizations to identify and address common interests and concerns

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of tribal governments and communities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
