Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of CAT Scan exam protocols, be willing to work both CT and X-Ray, and be able to prepare patients for exams and utilize radiation protection methods consistently. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to obtain patient history, collaborate with radiologists on proper contrast usage, and be responsible for post-processing data.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams
  • Must be willing to work both CT and X-Ray
  • Be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions
  • Utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary
  • Obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage
  • Be responsible for the post processing of data
  • Assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide the best patient care
  • Assist during codes
  • Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
Requirements
  • Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training per ARRT
  • TX State Registered Radiologic Technician
  • Registered with ARRT and Texas (MRT)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, BLS, issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
