Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees nursing care delivered by Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and other staff members.
- Reviews and implements all nursing protocols and systems.
- Assesses and evaluates the processes that ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care and staff performance.
- Employs a systematic approach in the nursing process to provide tailored nursing care.
- Contributes to resident assessments (MDS/CAA's) and the formulation and execution of care plans.
- Evaluates residents' responses to nursing interventions.
- Understands the rationale for medication and treatment usage and administers them correctly as required.
Qualifications:
- Current state nursing licensure is mandatory.
- Current CPR certification and additional certification in a nursing specialty are preferred.
- Experience in management or supervisory roles within long-term care or geriatric nursing is advantageous.
