Job Summary

The University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine is seeking a skilled Bioinformatician to join our team. As a key member of the Yanxiang Deng Lab, you will be responsible for analyzing spatial omics datasets, ensuring data quality, and creating relevant figures and statistical analyses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assure the quality of sequencing data using existing tools
  • Aggregate data into databases and create relevant figures and statistical analyses
  • Work with lab members to submit sequencing data to publicly available repositories
  • Create and document reusable software tools for use across multiple projects
  • Perform data analysis to find biological patterns in genetic and epigenetic sequencing
  • Assist with employee training for routine data quality control, analysis, and visualization
  • Contribute to manuscripts, reports, and grant applications based on dataset significance
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science and 3 to 4 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
