We are seeking a Part-Time Monitor to join our team at Amherst Schools. As a Part-Time Monitor, you will be responsible for providing support to students and staff in a classroom setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students with daily tasks and activities
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe learning environment
- Support teachers with classroom duties and tasks
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and staff
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Educational Aide Permit issued by the relevant education department
- Meets all mandated health requirements
- Documentation of a clear criminal record
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies
- Self-directed and able to learn required skills for the position
- Ability to manage students with physical and mental disabilities
- Congenial disposition and strong diplomacy skills
Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position, approximately 2.5 hours per day. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
