Drywall Estimator

As a key member of our construction team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our commercial drywall projects. With a strong background in estimating and a passion for delivering high-quality results, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs associated with drywall installations for commercial buildings.

• Estimate and bid commercial projects with precision and accuracy
• Conduct thorough research and gather data to fully understand project specifications
• Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, labor costs, and production rates
• Utilize software such as OST (OnScreen Takeoff), QuickBid, Bluebeam, or Planswift to perform takeoffs electronically
• Process change order requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Collaborate closely with Superintendents and Foremen to provide job information as needed
• Prepare bid packages, including clearly-defined qualifications and clarifications
• Employ creativity and resourcefulness to win jobs and drive business growth
• Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the deadline
• Review bid requirements thoroughly and ask follow-up questions as needed
• Develop a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned
• Consistently follow up on submitted bids and budgets with clients
• Maintain a strong network of architects, property managers, and individual clients to drive business growth
• Review budgets with Superintendents/Foremen and highlight areas of concern
• Attend job walks as requested
• Review estimates of staff before bids go out
• Prepare production quantities and bid estimates
• Negotiate with vendors to obtain the best prices and quality of work possible
• Apply value engineering to increase profitability and competitiveness
• Research options for materials, equipment, and obtain multiple quotes
• Provide excellent customer service and support to potential clients and other important parties

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, starting at $75,000, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans, and a hybrid work schedule.
