Greater Regional Health is seeking a dedicated Cafeteria Attendant to join our vibrant Food Service team. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, perfect for those looking to contribute to a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve meals efficiently in the cafeteria setting.
- Assist in preparing the cold serving line, ensuring all necessary items such as beverages, utensils, condiments, and napkins are ready.
- Support food preparation tasks according to the production schedule, including:
- Preparing salads, desserts, breads, juices, gelatin, and puddings as required.
- Brewing coffee for both patients and staff.
- Help in portioning salads and desserts for patients and cafeteria patrons.
- Ensure food is prepared in a nutritious and visually appealing manner by adhering to standardized recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Follow the meal schedule closely, serving food at the appropriate temperatures.
- Maintain cleanliness in the cafeteria, dining area, and workstations.
- Wash and properly store all dishes and utensils using sanitary methods.
- Assist in replenishing paper supplies as needed.
- Manage the cafeteria cash register, including handling transactions and maintaining accurate records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the Food Service Department.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
