Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Softball Coach to join our team at the Dayton Public School District. As a key member of our athletic department, you will be responsible for leading our softball team to success and providing a positive and supportive environment for our student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to improve team performance
  • Recruit, train, and mentor assistant coaches and team members
  • Communicate effectively with parents, players, and administrators to ensure a positive and supportive team culture
  • Ensure compliance with Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) rules and regulations
  • Monitor athlete class attendance, behavior, and academic progress
  • Provide a safe and healthy environment for practices and competitions
Requirements
  • Three or more years of coaching experience at the high school or college level
  • Knowledge of overall operation of an athletic program
  • Valid CPR/First-Aid, Pupil Activity Permit, Fundamental of Coaching, Concussion in Sports Course certificates and Cardiac Arrest Course Certificate
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents
