About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Covenant Health Plainview. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care by performing various laboratory tests and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood draws, urinalyses, and other diagnostic tests
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and other instruments
  • Prepare and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples
  • Record and report test results, including abnormal findings and critical values
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely test results
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Basic Science or Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited program
  • Certification by the Board of Registry of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) upon hire
  • 6 months of work experience in a clinical laboratory, preferably in a hospital setting
