Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN/Medical Assistant to join our team at Western Missouri Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Patient Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and assist physicians with examinations and treatments.
  • Prepare Exam Rooms: Clean and maintain exam rooms, prepare equipment and supplies, and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • Administer Medications: Administer medications as directed by physicians and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide Administrative Support: Answer phones, schedule tests and treatments, and assist with patient scheduling.
  • Collaborate with Care Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Ensure the confidentiality of patient information and maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform CLIA Waived Tests: Perform CLIA waived tests proficiently and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
  • License: Currently licensed to practice as a professional LPN in the state of Missouri or be eligible to practice as a graduate practical nurse in the state of Missouri.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in basic computer skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit and stand for long periods, use standard office equipment, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to work under pressure, maintain accuracy, and utilize manual dexterity and near vision.
