Home Health Physical Therapist

BrightStar Care's Physical Therapists are responsible for evaluating the patient's condition and developing an individualized plan of care tailored to each patient based on the physician's orders. They help patients manage pain and improve mobility, stability, balance, and safety to enhance their quality of life.
The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or higher degree in physical therapy from an accredited physical therapy program. Additionally, they must be licensed or certified to practice as a physical therapist as required by the state. A minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is also preferred.
This role requires strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, theory, methods, and evidence-based practice. The candidate should also possess excellent customer service skills, ability to deal tactfully with patients and staff, and maintain patient confidentiality. Furthermore, they must adhere to HIPAA guidelines and follow accepted professional, ethical, and legal standards of practice.

Requirements:
- Graduate with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or higher degree in physical therapy from an accredited physical therapy program
- Pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Fulfill all other state required examinations
- Compliant with continuing education within state requirements as a condition of maintaining licensure
- Licensure or certification to practice as a physical therapist as required by the state
- Two years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably facility/home health experience and interpersonal skills
