Job Summary

Evaluate and treat patients with a wide range of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech, language, cognition, and dysphagia.

Responsibilities
  • Perform functional assessments and re-assessments of patients with swallowing, language, speech, or cognition impairments.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans and goals for patients.
  • Select and apply appropriate treatments to increase patients' swallowing and communication functional status.
  • Communicate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status, discharge plans, equipment needs, and other patient issues.
Requirements
  • Licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Speech Pathologist.
  • BCLS certification.
  • Masters in Speech Language Pathology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency.
  • 1-2 years of experience in any therapy setting.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies preferred.
