Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the Job:
The University of Kansas Health System seeks a skilled Clinical Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our cardiothoracic surgery PCU team, you will provide professional nursing care to patients requiring complex cardiac and thoracic care.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular disease.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
* Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and coordinate care delivery.
* Participate in educational programs to maintain knowledge and skills in area of expertise.
Requirements:
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas or compact license.
* BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
* 1+ year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a cardiothoracic surgery setting.
Compensation and Benefits:
$62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience.
