Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable and efficient architectures for document processing workflows using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration with development and operations teams, evaluating and recommending appropriate GCP technologies and architecture based on performance, cost, and scalability.

Your Role

As a Cloud Solutions Architect Lead, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions that meet our client's business needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable and efficient architectures for document processing workflows using Google Cloud DocAI and related technologies.
  • Collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Evaluating and recommending appropriate GCP technologies and architecture based on performance, cost, and scalability.
  • Designing and implementing data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing document data and working with data scientists to prepare data for model training and evaluation.
  • Automating infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like Terraform and Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud architecture standards and best practices.
  • Monitoring and optimizing cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensuring security and compliance of cloud solutions.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest GCP features and industry trends.
  • Conducting regular reviews and audits of cloud infrastructure.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation for cloud architecture and processes.
  • Assisting in the migration of on-premises applications to GCP.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Participating in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Evaluating and recommending new cloud services and tools.
  • Conducting training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • GCP certifications (e.g., Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Machine Learning Engineer).
  • Experience with Google Document AI, Vertex AI, Vision AI, and Gemini.
  • 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and design.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps, MLOps practices.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments is a plus.

Estimated Salary Range

$180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on experience.

Location

Herndon, VA (Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite)
