Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement production schedules to ensure effective use of labor, tools, and equipment.
- Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Set up and operate fabricating machines to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble components.
- Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units or subunits.
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Mentor lower-level fabricators.
- Participate in quality control and assurance processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
- Knowledge of monitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machine operation.
- Ability to read and understand work orders.
- Knowledge of mathematics and its application.
- Manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.
- Ability to handle material up to 100 pounds.
- Competitive hourly rate: $19-$24.
