Job Summary:

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Imaging: Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contraindications, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Exam Preparation: Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal imaging.
  • Procedure Performance: Perform routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support and adjusting scan parameters as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and disinfect equipment after each use, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Department Support: Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual, monitor medical supply inventory, and request supplies as needed.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in MRI imaging or a related field.
  • Certifications: ARRT (R) certification in MRI required.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with 10-hour shifts Monday through Tuesday and Saturday through Sunday.
