Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Class A CDL Shuttle Operator to join our team at Ryder. This role is essential for transporting equipment between customer facilities in a safe and efficient manner.

Compensation:
Weekly pay structure

Hourly Rate:
$20.00 per hour

Work Schedule:
40+ hours per week

Home Time:
Local routes with daily home return

Shift Details:
Morning dispatch available

Workdays: Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Support Services:
All drivers benefit from 24/7 roadside assistance provided by trained technicians, with fueling services available at our extensive maintenance facilities.

Route Responsibilities:
Transporting empty trailers for equipment shuttle transfers

Freight Handling:
No-touch freight operations

Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum age of 21
- Successful completion of a drug test
- Background and motor vehicle checks
- DOT physical examination
- Road test completion
- Valid CDL with necessary endorsements
- Class A experience in a tractor-trailer or similar vehicle:
- 9 months within the last 3 years, OR
- 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with regulations

Key Responsibilities:
This role primarily involves the safe operation of a commercial vehicle, adhering to safety and DOT regulations, continuous training, and providing excellent customer service.

Additional responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
- Identifying and mitigating safety hazards
- Maintaining accurate records and logs
- Performing other assigned tasks
