We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Central Florida Communities Inc. Our organization is committed to providing high-quality care and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake, and Seminole Counties.
Job Summary:
This role involves providing vital support and care to our residents, including nursing and medical oversight. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for helping our residents with everyday tasks, such as daily grooming, meal service, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with residents at all times and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs.
- Identify hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and take immediate action to avoid, mitigate, or eliminate.
- Implement electronic and paper documentation of training needs, including programming, incident reporting, data collection, and behavior observations.
- Demonstrate competency in required training for Group Homes, including medication administration.
- Follow good vehicle loading and unloading procedures and ensure compliance with good vehicle safety practices.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1 year experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.
Working Conditions:
Frequent bending and standing. Constant noise environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year experience working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.
