POSITION OVERVIEW: The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility. This includes performing various cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, as well as managing waste disposal. The role requires adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, ensuring a hygienic environment for patients and staff alike.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Cleaning: Ensure assigned areas are kept clean and organized by emptying waste containers and restocking supplies as needed. Perform immediate cleaning tasks when required.
  • Inspection: Regularly assess rooms and units to identify maintenance issues, reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Supply Management: Restock supplies in patient rooms and public restrooms to maintain service standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Build rapport with patients and visitors by explaining cleaning processes and addressing any specific concerns they may have.
  • Collaboration: Foster positive relationships with colleagues by demonstrating respect and inclusivity, while maintaining a constructive attitude.
  • Service Excellence: Deliver high-quality service to all customers by effectively applying communication principles, ensuring acknowledgment, introduction, duration, explanation, and gratitude are part of every interaction.
QUALIFICATIONS: Basic knowledge and skills required; no formal education necessary. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience.
