Position Overview

The Security Operations Center (SOC) serves as a crucial 24/7 command hub dedicated to safeguarding client assets, personnel, and customers. Utilizing advanced technologies such as alarm systems, threat management tools, and video monitoring, SOC Console Operators play a vital role in identifying and addressing physical security incidents. These incidents may involve breaches of company policies or legal infractions. In executing their responsibilities, SOC Console Operators frequently collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, internal departments, and senior management. Additionally, they engage in administrative tasks that support the overall mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor alarm systems, threat management platforms, and video surveillance feeds. Investigate and respond to activities following established protocols.
  • Facilitate incident response coordination among law enforcement, onsite security, and various internal teams.
  • Escalate significant incidents to management as necessary and prepare detailed reports summarizing incidents and actions taken.
  • Handle both emergency and non-emergency calls, providing guidance on physical security issues.
  • Dispatch emergency services for critical situations, including medical emergencies.
  • Manage physical access to corporate offices and branch locations, assisting vendors and personnel with after-hours entry as required.
  • Conduct regular tests of alarm systems to ensure functionality.
  • Troubleshoot issues with access control, alarm systems, and video surveillance, initiating service requests as needed.
  • Complete additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 1-2 years of experience in security, complemented by customer service experience. Previous call center or command center experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to remain calm under pressure and make informed decisions based on comprehensive knowledge of SOC procedures.
  • Proficient in handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, OneNote, Teams), with a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Experience with CCURE-9000, MAS Monitoring, and DMP RemoteLink/Entre is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Hourly rate: $22.00
  • Available shifts include first and second, with training conducted during first shift.
  • Weekend hours may be required.
