We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Monarch Landscape Companies. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our heavy snow removal fleet.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy snow removal trucks, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting complex hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose issues with snowplow equipment, sanders, and other heavy construction equipment.
- Execute repairs and maintenance actions, including parts and labor time, and maintain accurate records.
- Work under the supervision of a Lead Mechanic to maintain a fleet of heavy snow removal trucks.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and efficient maintenance.
- 5+ years of experience in heavy truck maintenance, with a focus on snowplow equipment.
- Proficiency in using computer diagnostics software to pinpoint engine, hydraulic, electrical, or electronic issues.
- Strong experience with engine repairs on International, Cummins, Cat, and other heavy truck engines.
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods and lift 50 pounds consistently.
- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must have a Class B unrestricted CDL and be able to meet company guidelines for driver eligibility.
- Experience with Navistar engines and snowplow/spreader systems.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting/repair.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Efficient multi-tasking ability and basic computer skills.
