About the Opportunity

We are seeking a board-certified, full-time permanent hospital-employed physician to join our Hematology/Oncology department at the Fresno, CA VA Medical Center Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care of veteran patients, both in the inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Assess, consult, and treat hematology and oncology patients
  • Serve as an expert in chemotherapy and other hematology and oncology procedures, to include bone marrow aspiration and biopsy
  • Work closely with other providers, nurses, pharmacist, and other disciplines for caring our veterans
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards meeting at the VA and other meetings at UCSF Fresno
  • Participate in research and clinical trials
  • Able to become a staff faculty in Hematology and Oncology at UCSF Fresno
  • Actively participate in training residents, fellows and other medical students that rotate at the VA
  • Sign chemo regimens, obtain patient consents, triage consults and follow VA policies and procedures for conduct, time and attendance and scheduling rules
Requirements
  • Full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
  • Expected Salary range $300,000 to $348,000, May include up to $15,000 in Annual Performance Bonus
  • Candidate may be eligible for up to a $34,000 Sign on Bonus
  • May be eligible to apply for the Education Debt Reduction Program and if approved, receive up to $200k in school loan repayment Tax Free
