Commuter Driver Opportunity

DATTCO, a third-generation, family-owned transportation company, is seeking a Commuter Driver to join our Coach and Tour Group in Cranston, RI.

This role will support our partnership with Amtrak and provide connecting bus service between New Bedford and Worcester, to Providence Station.

As a Commuter Driver, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation to our passengers, navigating fixed routes, and ensuring the operational safety of our vehicles.

To be successful in this role, you will need a CDL (Class A or B) with air brake and P endorsement, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commuter transit services
  • Navigate fixed routes
  • Assist passengers
  • Inspect vehicle before and after shift to ensure operational safety
  • Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner
  • Exemplify excellent customer service through respectful, courteous, cooperative, and polite treatment of others
