As a Fitness Center Clerk, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our members and clients. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring that every individual feels valued and inspired on their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and register all fitness center members and therapy patients.
  • Manage incoming calls at the front desk, providing assistance or directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
  • Track and document the daily therapy schedule, reporting on attendance and cancellations.
  • Process co-payments for therapy services at the time of appointment.
  • Support the therapy department with scheduling and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain accurate membership records and process payments as instructed by management.
  • Ensure the fitness center is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
  • Assist the fitness center supervisor in assessing supply needs and ordering necessary equipment.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic understanding of fitness equipment, exercises, and anatomy, with a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Experience handling cash and credit transactions.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to operate a POS system or cash register.

Certifications

  • CPR/First Aid Certification or the willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
